PHILIPPIANS BIBLE STUDY

FOR INDIVIDUAL CAMPUS VENUES

STARTING SEPTEMBER 14  |  8 p.m.  |  ON ZOOM

For next month, we will be preaching through the book of Philippians on Sunday morning. Every sermon is a conversation, and we hope that it is never the end, but merely the beginning. Pastors, Dr. Pat Sparks (Traditional); Parker Zimmerman (The Element); and Alex Zeisig (West Campus); would like to extend that conversation before the sermon as well. Join us on Monday nights at 8 p.m. on Zoom as we look at the upcoming sermon text. This "pre-conversation" will explore history, context, and application. We especially would like to invite those who are not in a Grow Group (Sunday School or Life Group), as this is the perfect study for you to get involved in and meet the pastor of the venue you attend. Please register for a venue below.

GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD

STARTING SEPTEMBER 15  |  9:30 a.m.  |  ON ZOOM

In this study, Jennie Allen inspires and equips us to transform our emotions, our outlook, and even our circumstances by taking control of our thoughts. Our enemy is determined to get in our heads to make us feel helpless, overwhelmed and incapable of making a difference for the kingdom of God. But when we submit our minds to Christ, the promises and goodness of God flood our lives in remarkable ways. It starts in your head. And from there, the possibilities are endless. We hope you join us!

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN (UMW) INVITES YOU TO

TEN WOMEN OF THE BIBLE

STARTING SEPT. 16  |  WEDNESDAYS |  2 p.m.  |  ON ZOOM

Do you ever feel like a second-class citizen in this world?

Do you wonder how God could possibly use you to change lives?

For women in Bible times, these weren't even questions they thought about. Being overlooked, marginalized, having your contributions discounted because you're a woman...it's just the way things were. In this 10-lesson study, Max Lucado tells some of his favorite accounts of women in Scripture and the remarkable way God broke down cultural barriers to use them in the unfolding of His story. Click below to email info@stpkaty.org for the Zoom link.

BE THE BRIDGE

STARTING SEPTEMBER 30  |  6:30 p.m.  |  ON ZOOM

Join the Wednesday Night Bible Study for a 6- week Bible study, “Be the Bridge: Pursuing God's Heart for Racial Reconciliation,” by Latasha Morrison, to examine how we, as children of God, can participate in Biblical racial reconciliation. With conviction and grace, this study will examine the historical complexities of racism and expertly apply biblical principles, such as lamentation, confession, and forgiveness, to lay the framework for restoration. The book with the same title will be a required text. We will also use the books, “Divided by Faith,” by Michael Emerson, and “How to be An Antiracist,” by Ibram Kendi, but those are optional to purchase.

Small Groups are encouraged to sign up and take the class together. The class will be led by Rev. Whitney Peper. Please click below to register.
