MISSION MINISTRY

Part of our vision at St. Peter’s is to Go out into the world to serve others. We do this through missions in our community, our state, our nation, and our world. We participate in missions as a church and in partnership with other organizations such as U.M. ARMY, Christ Clinic, Hope Impacts, and the Ballard House. Watch for ways you can change lives and share God’s love through service.

We serve others through activities such as our senior high mission trip to Jamaican schools and churches, donating school supplies for Katy children, helping provide a community Thanksgiving Feast, participating in workdays at area non-profits, and helping with disaster relief.

Two mission groups meet monthly at St. Peter’s. The Prayer Quilt Ministry sews quilts for those suffering an illness or the loss of a loved one, and Smocks for Life sews smocks for breast cancer patients. You can learn more about them HERE.

CURRENT NEEDS AND WORKDAYS

Flood Recovery Donations
Just as we received donations from all across the country to help us when we
experienced the flooding of Hurricane Harvey, now we have an opportunity to
help those in Nebraska and The Great Plains Conference area recover from the
historic devastating flooding they are facing.

YMCA Camp Cinco Workday - May 11

Camp Cinco is a YMCA camp located in the heart of Katy that serves more than 300 kids each summer. Camp Cinco helps campers discover what they are passionate about, form healthy relationships, and develop a sense of belonging. We had a fun work day last year to help them recover from the devastation of Harvey. This year they have asked us to come back and help prepare the camp for this summer and build some new games and actives for the kids! Please join your St. Peter’s family at Camp Cinco on May 11 where we will be painting, moving mulch, clearing brush, and doing some light construction. All skill levels are needed! The workday will be from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Camp Cinco is at 15050 Cinco Park Rd. Please register to help us with planning.
