Katy Community Thanksgiving Feast

Nov. 23, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Holy Covenant United Methodist Church

Every year, St. Peter's joins with several local churches and ministries to host a free Thanksgiving meal for people in our community. Following are some ways you can help serve this year.

We will be collecting coats/jackets (new please), non-perishable food items (canned goods, rice, beans), and children's books in the St. Peter’s Lobby. Additionally, we are asked as a church to donate three large cases of bottled water.

Preparing Food

Preparing food for the feast is done by the congregations involved. This year, St. Peter’s has been asked to supply the dressing/stuffing. You do not need to sign up to make this. Just pick up a pan and instructions in the Lobby on Nov. 12 and 19.

You can serve in many ways. Be a food runner, a food server, man the donation table, be a greeter (bilingual is an asset), or sign up to setu-up or take-down. We have spots available for prayer teams, as well. Volunteer spots fill up fast, and they're on a first-come, first-served basis.

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations help with purchase of supplies and turkeys. Holy Covenant United Methodist Church is providing all the supplies and paying for the outsourced preparation and packaging of the donated turkeys. They would appreciate any help you can give them with this expense. Please make checks out to Holy Covenant UMC and write “Katy Thanksgiving Feast” in the memo line. They can be mailed to Holy Covenant at 22111 Morton Ranch Road, Katy, TX 77449.
